The GM-610 converter receives a pressure signal and converts it to a 4-20 mA current signal. No air is consumed, the maximum pressure being two times the lowest value on the specified scale.

The piezoresistive sensor is not insulated from the diaphragm. The fluid must therefore be air or inert gases. The diaphragm is made of silicon.
